In this space, participants will learn about the need for equitable practices and hear the call to action for educational equity. Through video and through analyzing case study scenarios, participants will be able to understand how systematic structures, practices and policies can create inequitable environments for historically underserved students including students with special needs, low-income students, English language learners, and students of color. We will examine Gorksi’s Equity Case Analysis Process to recognize the subtlest ways access and opportunity are distributed unfairly to our most marginalized students.
